Deck x Design

This project is an experiment of utilizing plastic waste found on local beaches by compressing and heating the materials into one of-a-kind skateboard decks, while using a simple manufacturing technique. The skateboard deck was created for the Deck x Design gallery’s silent auction where designers were selected around NYC to create a they’re version of a deck. This design sold for the highest bid of the show. All proceeds were donated to artstart.org.
